Privacy Policy

Hutt is a booking platform for stays that are verified for remote work. This page explains exactly what we collect, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 30 August 2026.

Who we are

Hutt (“we”) operates hutt.in. For anything about your data, write to hello@hutt.inand we will reply within 30 days, as required under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect, and why

If you ask to book a stay

Your name, email address, phone number, chosen dates, number of guests and any message you write. We need these to check availability with the host and to come back to you — usually on WhatsApp. We share your name and phone number with that host, because they cannot confirm a stay without them.

If you apply to list your property

Your name, email, phone number, the property’s details and location, your connection and power measurements, your pricing, and any photos you upload. This is what a listing is built from. Once your stay is published, the property details, photos and location are public. Your email and phone number are not.

If you sign in with Google

Your name, email address and profile photo. Nothing else — we never receive your Google password, and we ask for no access to Gmail, Drive or contacts.

Automatically

Standard server logs, and a session cookie if you sign in. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell data to anyone.

Who else can see it

That is the whole list. We do not sell or rent personal data.

How long we keep it

Booking requests and enquiries: three years, so we can settle any dispute about what was agreed. Host applications: as long as the listing is live, and three years after it comes down. Ask us to delete sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep a record.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:

Email hello@hutt.in. We will not charge you for it.

Children

Hutt is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children’s data. Tell us if you think we have, and we will delete it.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. The database is access-controlled and hosted by Supabase. We are a small team and hold only what we need — but no service can promise perfect security, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes get an email to anyone affected.
